Security Doors Products
Kestrel Australia has been manufacturing custom security doors in Melbourne for over 30 years, delivering more than 10,000 installations across Melbourne, Pakenham, and surrounding suburbs. Every security screen door is made to measure and built to AS5039-2008, the Australian Standard for knife and jemmy attack resistance.
As a National Security Screen Association (NSSA) member, our products are independently tested, not self-certified. Our range includes stainless steel security doors, perforated aluminium security doors and privacy mesh security doors - each custom made to suit your home's security requirements, style and budget.
We offer three core security door options, each manufactured at our Pakenham facility and made to measure for Melbourne homes.
Our stainless steel security doors are the strongest option in our range. Made from Grade 316 marine-grade stainless steel mesh, they resist corrosion, cutting and forced entry - ideal for front entries, coastal homes and high-security applications. The fine mesh also provides excellent airflow and an unobstructed view from inside.
Perforated aluminium security doors offer a solid, clean finish with a strong aluminium panel that is punched with precision holes for ventilation. A popular choice for modern and contemporary homes across Melbourne, they provide a streamlined aesthetic while meeting AS5039-2008 security requirements.
Our privacy mesh security doors use a tighter weave to reduce visibility from outside while maintaining airflow and natural light inside. Perfect for street-facing doors, ground floor entries and homes in high-traffic areas where privacy is a priority alongside security.
Choosing between a hinged security door and a sliding security door depends on your entry layout and how the space is used.
Hinged security doors are the most common choice for front and rear entries. They offer a solid, traditional feel and are available in single or double door configurations. Our hinged doors are built with a full perimeter frame and multi-point locking for maximum resistance.
Sliding security doors are ideal for openings connected to alfresco areas, patios or decks where a hinged door would take up floor space. They operate on a smooth-running track system and can be locked securely when not in use.
Both options are custom made to your exact opening size, ensuring a precise, gap-free fit with no compromise on security.

AS5039-2008 is the Australian Standard that sets minimum requirements for security screen doors and windows. It covers knife attack, jemmy attack, dynamic impact, corrosion resistance and lock security. A door that meets this standard has been independently tested and proven — not simply marketed as "security grade." All Kestrel security doors are built and tested to this standard.
